Dishub Applies Traffic Engineering on Jalan MH Thamrin Due to MRT Phase 2 CP-201 Section Construction

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) applied traffic engineering on Jalan MH. Thamrin due to the commencement of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Phase 2 construction project for CP-201 Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI) - Simpang Harmoni section.

During the construction, there will be reduction of one regular lane on the east side of Jalan MH. Thamrin along the construction area

Jakarta Dishub Head, Syafrin Liputo conveyed, test pit work on the median of Jalan MH. Thamrin carried out from September 22 to October 30,2020. During the construction, Transjakarta route applied mix traffic with regular route along the construction area.

At the same time, road widening and sidewalk demolition also carried out in front of Sinar Mas Building from September 22 to October 16, 2020.

"During the construction, there will be reduction of one regular lane on the east side of Jalan MH. Thamrin along the construction area," he explained, Tuesday (9/22).

The next stage is widening construction site on the median of Jalan MH. Thamrin to the south from October 17 to November 19, 2020.

According to him, sidewalk that has been demolished can be used as traffic lane and Transjakarta bus will carry out mix traffic with regular lane along construction area.

Furthermore, construction will be also carried out on the west side of Jalan MH. Thamrin (regular lane) from November 20 to December 23, 2020 thus traffic diversion wil be divided into west and east sides along the construction area.

For archaelogical work at Intersection of Jalan MH. Thamrin -  Jalan Kebon Sirih on the south side of Tugu Jam, will be held from September 22 to October 15, 2002, thus there will be reduction in lane along the construction area.

In addition, other test pit work is also carried out, namely,

- Test pit TP-19A on Jalan Museum (middle side) on September 22 - October 4, 2020.

- Test pit TP-18 on Jalan Museum (east side) on September 22 - October 19, 2020;

- TP-25 on Jalan Kebon Sirih (east side, in front of Bank Bangkok) on October 2 - 18, 2020;

- TP-10 on Jalan Kebon Sirih (west side) on the median of the road on October 9 - 25, 2020;

- TP-23 on Jalan Kebon Sirih (east side, in front of Wisma Mandiri) on October 24 - November 9, 2020

"There is reduction in lane width along the construction area," he stated.
